Conservation

The Powder Mill Fish Hatchery is an important and active component of the New York State Conservation effort. The Hatchery is the only independently operated hatchery of the twelve hatcheries located in the state.

                  

Fishing Licenses

Anyone 16 years of age or older desiring to fish in New York State freshwaters is required to have, and be able to produce on request, a valid New York State fishing license, subject to certain exceptions.
